Ville de Laval

A snapshot of what was done for the City of Laval to optimize its asset management and investment planning.

PROJECT SUMMARY

Faced with aging infrastructure, the City of Laval needed to optimize how it allocated its human and financial resources to guarantee reliable service to its residents and businesses.

To do so, the City wanted to create comprehensive investment plans for its water, sewer, and road networks.

In four months of using Direxyon’s Asset Investment Planning solution, Laval had structured its asset and financial data, modeled its assets’ degradation, and developed 100-year, integrated investment scenarios.

With the insights delivered through Direxyon, Laval anticipates that it will reduce its annual investments, asset failures, and infrastructure deficit in the short, medium, and long-term.

Objectives

The City of Laval, facing aging infrastructure, looked to optimize how it allocated its human and financial resources.

The goal was to guarantee an adequate level of service for its residents and businesses by creating short-, medium-, and long-term investment plans for its water, sewer, and road networks.
